I completed my Training Contract at the Citizens Advice Bureau. I dealt with a variety of issues during my training, including representing Claimants at Welfare Benefit Appeal Hearings and appealing further on points of law. I was also given training in Consumer Law, Employment Law and Family Law.
I qualified as a Solicitor in August 2005 and worked for a medium-sized Firm in Bolton for two years as a Litigator, dealing with cases upon which Court Proceedings had been issued.
Along with another Director, I set up Ashwood Solicitors Limited in September 2008 and since then, I have dealt with Personal Injury claims, such as Road Traffic Accidents and Accidents at work. I have also experience of dealing with Immigration matters, from spouse visa applications to European law.
I also have significant experience of Civil Litigation and dealing with cases which go to Court, across various disciplines, including Personal Injury, Debt Recovery and general Civil Disputes between parties. I have good knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and can deal with Small Claims, Fast Track and Multi Track claims. I work closely with Barristers to ensure Clients have the best legal representation of their cases at Court. I also have the Higher Rights Qualification in Civil Litigation and so have experience of representing Claimants at Hearings.
I am an approved Manager at my Firm, including being the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and the Compliance Officer for Financial Administration.
I can speak to Clients in Urdu and Punjabi.
