Over the years I have dealt with many types of litigious matters and assisted in the resolution of numerous disputes. My experience includes dealing with commercial disputes, family company problems, building disputes, obtaining freezing injunctions both in the High and County Courts – often required in fraud claims – neighbour disputes (including boundary disputes) contractual matters and professional negligence. Recently my practice has extended to include residential property cases; lease extensions, service charge disputes and related matters.

I aim to settle cases at an early stage if possible by seeking to understand both sides to a dispute and then looking for imaginative routes to help the parties reach a mutually satisfactory resolution. My aim is to reduce risk for clients at every stage both in relation to the overall costs and the underlying dispute. This is in keeping with the courts’ approach to litigation: these days Judges expect parties to a dispute to engage in alternative dispute resolution methods and will often penalise with a cost order those who do not reasonably seek a negotiated settlement. I aim to guide my clients along the route of a dispute and to reduce the stress and tension as much as possible.
